Six Years of Blogging Part Three: Contests

I've been celebrating six years of blogging over the course of the past two days in a three-part series on Community, Content, and Contests. The first day, I talked in-depth about the Community - you can check that out here. Yesterday, I discussed my own content and blogging philosophies - that's here. Today, I'm wrapping up the celebration with the announcement of three contests!

These contests begin immediately and run until June 15, so you have a couple of weeks to work on things. There are lots of crowns up for grabs, and they're good for the US versions of Wizard101 and Pirate101, so you have your choice.

Six Pics Contest

June 1 - June 15 at 11:59 PM CST
I'm celebrating six years of blogging, and it's a good time to look back on memories from around the Spiral. Gather six total screenshots from any KingsIsle game (Wizard101, Pirate101, Rise & Destroy, AlphaCat, EverClicker - feel free to mix and match) and compose them into one image or collage. If you need assistance with putting your images together, there are plenty of free sites that can help, such as this one.

Write at least one paragraph about the photos you chose and send your completed image and writing to contest@swordroll.com with the subject "Six Pics Contest." Entries will be judged on originality, creativity, and content choice.

One Grand Prize Winner: 10,000 crowns
First Place: 5,000 crowns
Second Place: 2,500 crowns
Third Place: 1,000 crowns

Battleboard Builder Contest

June 1 - June 15 at 11:59 PM CST
This is always one of my favorite contests because the ideas I see people come up with are very creative. For this contest, you will use the Battleboard Builder feature on the site to create your own Pirate101 battleboard. To keep things fair, you may only use the functions provided; no other features or rules may be added.

Send an image of your finished battleboard to contest@swordroll.com with the subject "Battleboard Builder Contest."

Grand Prize: 5,000 crowns
2x Runner Up: 1,000 crowns

Rafflecopter Giveaway

June 1 - June 15 at 11:59 PM CST
If contests aren't your thing, you can always grab a few quick entries on the Rafflecopter for a chance to win some crowns. This giveaway runs in the same time frame as the other contests, and has a few daily point options, so be sure to check back each day.

If you aren't familiar with the Community Newsletter, it's a monthly email sent out with content from around the Spiral that helps you keep up with what you've missed. I have included an entry in this contest to subscribe to that newsletter so that you can keep up to date.

This giveaway and other contest details are available on the Contests page.
