Unforgiven Dead Gauntlet Guide | Wizard101
Wizard101 has released a new gauntlet in the Test Realm, which will presumably
be a pack reward and purchasable item when the Test Realm goes live. This
Avalon-themed gauntlet takes wizards to Ettinburgh, where they'll compete in a
contest of champions for the "honor" of taking on an ancient being who awakens
every 100 years. Here's how to defeat the Banrigh Sluagh and other enemy
cheats inside the gauntlet!
This gauntlet is crafted from a recipe sold by Lloyd FallingWater in the Shopping District.
Right now in the Test Realm, you can purchase the reagents to craft it from
Decius in the Commons. In the live realm, it's likely that a new pack will
award the reagents, and that the gauntlet will be available for purchase on
the Wizard101 website.Â
The Sluagh Slugfest
Get ready for combat against some not-so-worthy opponents! This gauntlet comes
in only three tiers - level 50, 100, and 150. The gauntlet will present the
tier most suitable for the lowest-level wizard who enters on the sigil. We'll
be covering the level 150 version of the gauntlet.Â
Fight #1: Loch & Key Knights
This battle is fun of puns, but not of cheats! It should be a straightforward
first fight in the Sluagh Slugfest in the scenic lochs of Ettinburgh!
Fight #2: Highlands Moolitia
The puns are only getting stronger, but the enemies are about the same. Expect
another straightforward fight in the Slugfest.
Fight #3: Kelpie
The Banrigh Sluagh's minions have appeared to free her! Fight these Kelpie
in the third battle, an unofficial part of the Slugfest required for
survival.
Fight #4: Woad Warriors
The final battle of the Sluagh Slugfest will determine the champion who will
face the Banrigh Sluagh and attempt to return it to its prison. This should
be another easy fight.
Fight #5: Banrigh Sluagh
Here's where things get interesting. This fight has a lot of cheats, but not
all of them are working against you! The undead zombies claimed by the
Banrigh Sluagh will cheat to help you! Although there are a lot of cheats
and reading them seems complex, you can mostly ignore them and you'll be
okay.

- The dead are arming the wizard! What a twist! - At the start of round 2, and every third round after (5, 8, 11...), the Balance zombie will interrupt to cast a +30% damage Hex himself and all his allies.Â
- The Banrigh Sluagh brings the curse of blight! - At the end of round 2, and every other round after (4, 6, 8...), the Banrigh Sluagh will interrupt to cast a -45% healing charm on all enemies. Sometimes it will cast a -20% damage charm instead.

- The dead escape their bonds and bless the living! - At the start of round 3, and every fourth(?) round after (7, 11, 15...), the Star zombie will interrupt to cast Magnify, an aura giving all wizards +20% damage.
- Ach, that's gotta hurt, am I right? - At the start of round 4, and every fourth round after, the Banrigh Sluagh will interrupt to cast Supernova, dealing nearly 2000 damage and destroying the damage aura on every wizard.
- Other notes: There are no cheats for Feints or arriving late. These enemies cast a lot of negative damage charms but most cheats can be ignored. The boss is Stun Immune.Â
Congratulations on completing the Unforgiven Dead Gauntlet! You'll earn
the Unforgiven Too badge upon completion. Don't forget to
collect the Throne of Scones housing item in the castle after the fight!
Secret Boss: Grounds-Creeper Willie
There's a secret boss, and he's actually the toughest fight in the gauntlet.
Right before entering the castle, take the path around to the right, where
you'll find the Grounds-Creeper Willie fight. This boss is inaccessible
until you complete the fourth battle with the Woad Warriors.
Grounds-Creeper Willie12,425 health / Myth Rank 20 Boss
Cheats:
- Grounds-Creeper Willie is immune to all damage.
- Ach! I cannae be beaten, only banished! - At the end of the first turn, Grounds-Creeper Willie will give each player a Banish! spell. This is a Myth spell which costs 7 pips and 2 shadow pips. It wins you the fight, but only has 5% accuracy.
- Oh no, ye found me one weakness: showing up late. - If a player enters the battle late, Grounds-Creeper Willie will interrupt to give them a Banish! spell. Note that there is a glitch where entering on a round where he casts his Mana Burn will cause the Mana Burn to be cast twice.
- Time for a controlled Mana Burn -Â At the end of every third round (3, 6, 9...), Grounds-Creeper Willie will cast Mana Burn on every wizard, removing two power pips and two shadow pips(?).
- Ach! Get 'em, Bitey! - If you attack Grounds-Creeper Willie, he will interrupt to cast Orthrus.
- Hide behind yer shields then! - If a wizard casts a shield, Grounds-Creeper Willie will interrupt to cast an accuracy buff charm on all wizards.Â
- Oh, wizard need a heal? Maybe a blankie too? - If a wizard casts a heal, Grounds-Creeper Willie will interrupt to give the wizard a Donate Shadow Pip spell.
- Other notes: Grounds-Creeper Willie has 50% pierce. He can cast Medusa, so consider packing Stun Block.
Gauntlet Drops
The gauntlet drops a number of fairly rare housing items, including Avalon
paintings and new autumnal bushes and trees which will presumably be part of
the pack that drops the reagents for the gauntlet. There are also Ettin
house guests and Avalon bobbleheads! The final boss can drop some notable jewels as well,
including the Pain-Giver Opal.Â
